Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis is caused by new bone and tissue growth on the vertebrae. When this occurs space in the spinal column is reduced and caused nerves to be pinched. A painful burning, tingling or numbing sensation may be experienced in the lower back all the way to the feet.

A health spine contains no pinched nerve roots because the shape is sufficient to keep the spinal canal in place. Nerves leave the spinal canal without any obstructions.

Compression of the nerves in the spinal column can occur when new bone grows in the spinal canal. Pain can occur and radiate from the back to the feet.
